Cape Kolka in Winter
A natural phenomenon of European significance
This is the exact geographical point where the Gulf of Riga meets the open Baltic Sea. In winter, the raw power of nature is on full display; colliding waves form churning, frozen sea foam, while the lonely Kolka Lighthouse stands on an artificial island out in the freezing waters. This dramatic view is why travelers journey hundreds of miles to get here.
